My Experience

I have more than 20 years' experience in writing, proofreading and editing through my career in newspaper journalism, broadcasting and corporate communications.

My meticulous eye for technical consistency and narrative continuity has been honed on everything from autobiographies and official reports to glossy brochures and social media campaigns.

I am highly competent working in all formats, and thrive on finding resourceful solutions to complex demands. Daily deadlines are second nature to me, as is the importance of confidentiality.

As a manager I developed a coaching style of leadership, taking pride in enabling people to reach their potential. This is the spirit in which I have always worked, and it is why I enjoy collaborating with people to make their manuscripts shine.

I will get back to you straight away if I can, or within 24 hours at the latest.
If you would prefer to talk, send me your name and number and ask for a call back.
How I Work

Every novel and essay is unique, as are the people who write them. I therefore negotiate my prices on a case-by-case basis to ensure people get the support they need, on time and within budget.

For guidance my day rate (eight hours) is £100, half-day is £60.

If you would like my help with a longer project, such as beta-reading your novel or proofing the materials for your publicity campaign, I'd be happy assess the level of support you require and provide a written quote based on how long I think the work will take.
I quote in advance of all work. On receipt of a quote, the client is under no obligation to accept. On acceptance, a 50% deposit will be requested.
All materials submitted to and worked on by me will remain the copyright and liability of the client.
All submitted content will be kept confidential and not made known to anyone other than the client or the representatives they have approved in writing.
